I've been looking around for pet stairs for a while now, my oldest cat has been having issues getting on or off my bed. When I got these and unboxed/unpacked them, they expanded super quick but I still let it sit for 24 hours and washed the stair cover before putting it on. It mentions to wait the day to air it out but I didn't notice any strong odors, and when I finally put on the cover and zipped it up it looks exactly like the pictures! It took a bit for my cats to realize what these were and why it was there, but now my oldest will use it to walk right up or off of my bed, and my youngest will rip up and down the ramp and through the hallway when she's got the zoomies haha. It also came with an extra slip-stopper pad thing for use on hardwood/laminate/tile and I was curious if it'd work for carpet as well, it doesn't and slid around constantly so I put it away until I have hard floors to use it on. On carpet by itself it's had no problems and I'm just so happy that my oldest can take it a bit easier on days she just can't make the jump. These stairs are perfect! Not sure the weight limit but my chonkiest is 17lbs and barely makes a dent, and I've sat on them like a stool while organizing some storage and I'm a hefty 210lbs, it gave just enough to become maybe the most comfortable tiny stool I've ever sat on hahaha. I love these stairs
